Thank you to all of our Parent's and Swimmers for an excellent Long Course season. Our team continues to grow, and with the addition of the swimmers and parents from the Billings YMCA we are the largest team in the state. Our performace at the Long Course State Championships is a good indication that we have the potential to be a dominate team.
For those swimmers coming to our club from the Billings YMCA and other clubs I hope your first season with us was enjoyable and you are certainly one of the reasons for our success. We will continue to do our best to make sure both swimmers and parents have a positive experience as members of our team.
As we enjoy the remainder of our summer and watch the Olympics hopefully the fire to get back in the pool is even stronger. We have several young swimmers who are breaking through with State qualifying times and several Senior swimmers who are close to National qualifying times. Whether you are a beginning swimmer or a seasoned swimmer the most important aspect of your swimming are your GOALS. Everyone must have goals to work towards. Write them down before the season and read them everyday. Whatever you can imagine you can achieve.
Parent's the same is true for us. As we face the issues with our pools we must work towards goals that benefit everyone. We have limited pool space and both Rocky Mountain College and MSU-B have done what they can to give us as much time as possible. We will continue to work with both Universities to maintain these relationships and expand our options for practice time and meets. Many of our Senior swimmers will be swimming High School and it is important that we work with the Billings Public Schools and Central High to ensure that swimming doesn't get eliminated at the High School level. Our young swimmers need to have programs available beyond Age Group swimming.
Thank you to everyone who volunteers their time. You are an asset to our club and we all benefit from your dedication to the club, your children and swimming.
Sincerely,
Casey Murphy
